So I got to asking myself, do I need a contact page? Couldn’t I just put
my email address (which, by the way, is: janet@stairwayphotography.com) on the About Me page?
But then I got to thinking. You might want to contact me to say: About time you put up a website! Or maybe: Hey, I especially like the photo that….
Then I realized that, if you’ve landed here, I have this space to tell you about a super nonprofit organization in La Mision, Mexico called Vida Outreach.
Vida Outreach is a 501(c)3 started by Mike and Becky, a young couple working to make a difference in the lives of the people living in this struggling community. Most recently, they’ve opened a community center where adults can meet, kids can get help with their homework, women can learn to sew, and anyone can play ping-pong or Foosball.
They even opened a latte stand inside the community center to help keep its door open and lights on! I’m on the board, and like any tiny nonprofit, we could really use some help. (A commercial-strength espresso maker, for one thing, would be terrific.)
So consider supporting Vida Outreach. It would be one of those rare cases where a little truly goes a long way.
